As the Covid pandemic continues worldwide and especially in Cambodia, the GSC programs are suspended until further notice. We are carefully monitoring CDC and State Department information, and are in touch with our Cambodia program partners. As travel restrictions begin to lift and international travel is deemed safe, we look forward to continuing to work with our Cambodia partners and service-learning volunteers to provide benefits to both the Cambodia people and our volunteer participants. You will find further updates here and through the GSC newsletter.

UPDATE: While the Covid situation in Cambodia initially appeared to be not as serious as in other parts of the world, this changed dramatically beginning in early 2021. Covid cases increased and the government initiated extensive preventative measures to stem the tide of growing infections. While the U.S. Department of State has issued a Travel Advisory on April 18, 2022 of Level 1: Exercise Normal Precautions, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has determined Cambodia has an unknown level of COVID-19.

Due to uncertainties around the spread of the Omicron BA.2 variant and safety concerns of international travel, GSC is not reopening our Cambodia program at this time.
