IMPORTANT: Global Service Corps (GSC) recommends you begin the application process at least 90 days prior to the start date of your desired program. If your completed Application Form, resume, personal statement, deposit, full program fees, and other additional enrollment documents are not received 60 days prior to your program start date, your enrollment will be subject to a $300 rush enrollment late fee or cancellation. See the “Cancellation and Refund Policy” section of the GSC Application Form for complete details.

GSC accepts qualified applicants on a first-come first-served basis. You can speed up your enrollment and facilitate acceptance into your chosen program by submitting your application materials before the stated due dates.

Below is a step by step process on how to apply and enroll in a service-learning program. Application and submission of your deposit can be done online or you can submit your deposit by check or money order. For questions on application and enrollment, please call the GSC office at 415-788-3666 ext. 128.

**Be sure that you have a current resume and one page personal statement ready for submission before proceeding with the online application. You will not be able to complete the initial steps of the online application process for GSC service-learning programs without submitting a resume and personal statement.

1. Choose a GSC Program and destination.

2. Decide when to go and for how long. GSC service-learning programs have monthly start dates.

3. Go to Apply Now and submit your personal information; select your program, start dates, duration and select a MyGSC username and password.

4. Upload a current resume and one-page personal statement then download an application and mail it back the GSC office:

* Your one-page personal statement should describe your interests, skills and experiences, what you can personally bring to the program, and how you will benefit from the GSC experience.

5. Submit $300 deposit online or mail a personal check or money order to the GSC office in San Francisco along with your application. GSC staff will notify you via email when your application and deposit have been received and your application materials have been reviewed. You will then be able to log on to your MyGSC page where you can access further enrollment forms and documents that you will need to complete and submit to GSC.

6. PLEASE NOTE: These additional enrollment forms and documents along with your final program payment of fees must be received in the GSC office no later than 60 days prior to the scheduled start of your program and other documents and travel information must be received no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled start date. This information will be communicated to you via your MyGSC page on this website. Please log on to your MyGSC page as soon as your application materials have been accepted and you have been notified by GSC staff that your MyGSC page has been activated. You will be subject to a $300 rush enrollment late fee or cancellation if any of the required documents or program fees are received after their due dates.
